I was inspired by Claire’s clean closet to clean out my own — and although I don’t have any dress up clothing to donate, I did have a TON of sweaters and pants and other cold weather outfit to donate. Claire gathered a bunch of her old winter clothes, shoes and a GIANT pile of toys too. We took it all to The Living Room in Santa Rosa.

The Living Room helps shelter homeless and at-risk women and their children in a warm and safe environment during the day when overnight shelters are closed. I can’t even imagine the reality of being homeless…but, being a homeless women — or worse, a homeless women with children — has got to be so terrifying. I am incredibly thankful that places like The Living Room exist and I’m incredibly happy to support their efforts.

If you’d like to join us in donating some needed items, they are located at 69 Carrillo St., Santa Rosa (at Cleveland Ave.) and the drop off hours are, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

I understand that it’s a hard drop off time for people that work m-f, 9-5 — so if you have a donation and can’t make the drop off times, please let us know. We would be happy to take it for you! 🙂
